Description:

ALTEC invites faculty teaching languages to join us for a Gender and Sexuality training! This interactive 60-minute workshop is facilitated by the Center for Inclusion and Social Change at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

In this training, you’ll gain skills to create inclusive learning environments for students of diverse gender identities and sexual orientations. We will explore topics such as campus climate, campus resources, heteronormativity, the spectrum of sex, gender, and sexual orientation and relationships, as well as how these identities intersect with other facets of identity such as race, religion, and nationality. At the end, we invite faculty to share how they include LGBTQ topics and identities in their language curriculum. This is a great opportunity to learn from your peers and exchange ideas!
