In this hands-on session, you will learn about concepts and strategies useful to enhance the visual appeal and clarity of instructional materials. You will learn basic principles of graphic design applied to the creation of instructional materials. The first half of the session will focus on designing the overall structure of a document, including typography, layout, and visual hierarchy; the second half on the creation of simple graphics. No prior graphic design experience is necessary.

Facilitator: Dr. Julio Rodriguez, Director, UH Mānoa, Center for Language & Technology

Participants should bring their own computer device to participate in this hands-on session.
