Assessing the effects of AI-assistance on L2 writing: A comparative study of ChatGPT use among multilingual Mandarin learners
This study investigates the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically ChatGPT, on Second Language (L2) writing in the context of Mandarin Chinese language learning. The aim of this study is twofold: Firstly, to discern the differential impacts of AI on L2 writing performance; and secondly, to understand student reliance on AI tools in the language learning process.
