Mastering Mentoring: Conversations with Accomplished Mentors provides a valuable resource for individuals interested in improving their mentoring skills. Drawing on interviews with experienced mentors of online language teachers, the six TED-Ed lessons illustrate strategies and provide useful tips for helping mentees achieve their goals. This series will highlight how online language instructors can use the Social Emotional Learning Framework to engage students in the virtual classroom and enhance the experience and satisfaction of learning a language online. The five 90-minute webinar sessions will be held January 27, February 3, 10, 17, and 24, 2:00-3:30 pm (Hawai‘i time).  Registration closes February 24!

The NFLRC is launching its 2021 Online Language Pedagogy (OLP) Series with Supporting Students in Online Language Learning: Voices of Experience. We interviewed 14 online language teachers, who shared their strategies for successfully engaging and supporting students, and created 10 episodes/TED-Ed lessons on a wide variety of topics from onboarding to assessment to personalized learning. Register by April 21!
